20世纪60年代末，左翼暴动席卷香港，局势动荡。 从乡下来到大都市小玉（张曼玉 饰）是一个苦不见出头的小演员，为了金钱为了上位，真可谓不惜一切代价。在某导演的帮助下，小玉搬入一栋新公寓，偶然机会认识了住在天台的阿恭（钟镇涛 饰）。穷困潦倒的阿恭白天是一名白牌出租车司机，晚上则成为阔太太的性伴侣。两个畸零人从最初的轻视和憎恨，最终走到了一起。他们努力赚钱，经营生活，但动乱的局势仍将他们微小的幸福一次次击碎…… 本片荣获1990年香港金像奖最佳女主角（张曼玉）、最佳艺术指导和最佳剧本三项大奖。。NBC宣布直接预订一部《法律与秩序：特殊受害者 Law & Order: Special Victims Unit》衍生剧，主演是曾在1999-2011年于剧集中演出的Christopher Meloni。 Christopher Meloni会在此13集衍生剧中再次饰演Elliot Stabler，讲述他在纽约警局领导一支反黑组。。An inept gang of bank robbers, led by George The Brain, are caught and sentenced to 15 years hard labour each.
