Are we sometimes too quick to screen and treat cance...。玉芬（艾敬 饰）的表妹李萍（宁静 饰）是一名小学教师，马大帅（赵本山 饰）设立的“大帅打工子弟学校”即将面临被拆迁的命运，在自由撰稿人王斌（赵钢 饰）的帮助下，学校总算保住，不仅如此，李萍还跳槽成为了学校中的一名教师。 由于王斌的夸大宣传，给外界造成了马大帅的学校免费开放的误解，一时间，学校人满为患，开支也急剧增加。为了维持学校的运作，马大帅几乎倾尽了所有的财力，玉芬和马大帅之间因此产生了矛盾。范德彪（范伟 饰）亦在和桂英（高明娥 饰）大吵一架后离家出走，来到了马大帅的学校食堂工作。玉芬怀孕了，孩子的父亲是她的前夫牛二，做了流产手术后，是范德彪一直精心的照料着她，为她保守这个秘密，没想到却令偶然目睹此景的马大帅产生了误会。。
