一对年轻的夫妇丹尼尔和劳拉来到摩洛哥度假，租了一辆汽车进入沙漠旅游。一时兴起他们决定离开主要公路冒险。但这逐渐成了他们的噩梦，他们不仅迷路，车子还出现了故障，这时一个在他们启程前就有一面之缘的陌生人再次出现了……。本片改编自真实故事，1959年，记者艾德为了见到偶像海明威，只身到古巴探险。海明威与她的妻子玛丽隐居在那里的一处地产上。艾德见到了海明威，并和他成为了朋友，他们一起钓鱼，饮酒，畅谈。虽然时值古巴革命战争期间，艾德还是从这几年的生活中学到了许多哲理，而且明白一切英雄都也只是普通人。。Two young men (Jon Cryer, Rick Stear) who have been friends since early childhood decide to go on a trip to find a third friend (Rafael Baez) who has long since disappeared. Stories they have heard indicate that the friend has been seen in an apparently rambling, incoherent state at Coney Island. Their trip leads them to a number of adventures involving the otherworld-like life...。
