故事发生在三十年代的香港，富甲一方的贺家老太（谢雪心饰）年事已高，患上了老人痴呆症，经常活在幻觉中，举动令人啼笑皆非，故此家庭粮油生意一直由嫡孙贺金宝（廖伟雄饰）打理，其表弟欣常欢（吴廷烨饰）则从旁相助。实因双亲早世，由贺老太一手带大，更养成骄纵霸道的性格，但宝亦非一般二世祖，他的生意触觉异常敏锐。贺家生意在宝的打理下，越做越大。 欢表面对宝百一百顺，其内心对他一直不满，于是在一场贺岁友谊足球赛中，欢欲买凶杀宝，幸宝命不该绝，并夺得球赛锦标。欢失望之余被宝发现亏空公款。宝向他大兴问罪，欢无路可逃，惟向宝施以毒手。幸亏宝命大，被伙计何家鸡所救，但因头受伤导致神经失常，变成了一个傻子。欢把亏空之罪全数推在宝身上，把他逐出家门，并夺得贺家的支配权。宝虽大难不死，却无处容身。幸得鸡收留，鸡介绍宝到茶楼与其一同工作。宝虽变成傻子，但仍保留其生意头脑，卖广告令茶...。Set against the world of a major drug cartel bust, the series follows two low-level cops who have spent far too much time in a car together| two criminals who are largely kept in the dark| two dispatch workers who haven't really clicked| and two Mexican tunnelers who are in way too small a space considering they've only just met.。A young Mexican woman crosses the border in search of the American dream, only to instead find her worst nightmare lying within.。
