影片根据真实事件改编。一条大白鲨在一个偏远的岛屿上跟踪三个皮划艇爱好者。当它们等待救援到来时，潮水开始上涨，迫使它们回到致命的水域。现在比赛开始了，鲨鱼将要在他们回到海岸线的路上把他们吃掉。。Ale, a seventeen-year-old woman, lives in rural Costa Rica with her two younger siblings.
