Va...。该片讲述了抗战时期的鲁南，交通员老吴在给山里八路军送情报的路上突遭日军的追杀，在万不得已的情形下他将情报编成两句暗语告诉了正在芦苇荡玩的小主人公——大壮，自此，胆小、笨拙而又“一根筋”的大壮拉上同村的虎子和小银踏上了前途未卜的送情报之旅。。影片改编自河林满原作小说，烈日炎炎的夏天，在城市供水部门工作的岩切俊作（生田斗真饰），日复一日地走访那些拖欠水费的家庭，关闭供水。县内开始实行供水限制，岩切这时遇到了两个独自留守家中的年幼姐妹。蒸发了的父亲，没有回来的母亲，要不要停掉这个贫困家庭的最后一条生命线——水。尽管岩切心情矛盾，他还是遵守规则，执行了停水任务。。
